Estoy
vivo después de otra semana increíble! Es muy pesado
servir una misión... Pero emocionante!! En estos tiempos navideños, estamos
caminando en las calles de Los Ángeles con mucha ansiedad de encontrar a los
electos del Señor. Estamos comiendo aquí y aya, llamando cada persona posible,
y tratando de tener 20 conversaciones. Es mucho algunas veces, hacer una lista
de todas las cosas que tenemos que hacer en un día. Nuestro amado Presidente de
misión nos dijo en nuestro Devotional Navideño que no solamente somos
misioneros de la Iglesia de Jesucristo, lo estamos representado LITERALMENTE!
Yo puedo decir que estoy haciendo la obra para el, por qué soy escogido específicamente
para tener este llamamiento sagrado! Esas palabras son tan Fuertes... Yo
represento a Jesucristo. Aún que no soy la salvación de las personas, yo puedo
ser una parte vital de su búsqueda a su salvación mediante entrando a las aguas
del bautismo. Aun que es una responsabilidad MUY MUY MUY grande, siempre siento
su amor, cuando soy digno de el, por qué él está conmigo. Bueno la semana
empezó increíble con esa caja especial de 12 días de Navidad. Que especial fueron esos regalos. Saque tanta sabiduría de esos
mensajes de mis seres queridos. En verdad puedo decir que todas las personas de
las cuales recibí algo han sido una influencia crucial en mi conversión al evangelio.

El
martes empezamos un horario nuevo. Antes nuestro horario era:
8-9: Estudio personal
9-10: Estudio de Compañerismo
10-11: 12 week
Training
11-12: Estudio de
Lenguaje para los guerros
12-1: Almuerzo
Ahora que no estoy en 12 semanas de entrenamiento, ni mi compañero es guerro, salimos de 10 a 12 a trabajar. Fue un
poco raro el primer día pero usamos este tiempos para obtener la mayoría de nuestras
20 conversaciones para que el resto del día nos pudieramos enfocar más en las
lecciones. Hoy pudimos obtener 11 conversiones en 1 hora y 40 minutos. Fue una
misericordia tierna! Durante el día pudimos obtener 27 conversaciones!!
Que especial!
El
Miércoles hubo un entrenamiento de la nueva aplicación del iPad. Ya no vamos a
usar papel en la misión, todo va ser en iPad ahora. Cuando fijamos una cita con las personas en la calle, sacamos nuestro iPad y lo ponemos en el
calendario. Cuando vamos hacer un perfil para un nuevo investigador, todo lo
ponemos en el iPad. Se llama Área Book Planner, es muy bueno y nos va ayudar
mucho. Antes del entrenamiento fue la práctica con las hermanas para el número
especial para el domingo. Fue increíble tocar con personas que cantan tan lindo. Después nos fuimos a casa y pudimos disfrutar con la familia R. otra
vez y poder hablar de las bendiciones del evangelio. Al final del día pudimos
obtener 20 conversaciones en el último minuto.
El
Viernes fue un día loco! Primero nos paramos a las 5:30 para llegar a tiempo al
devociónal. Llegamos para poder disfrutar la música bella del pianista (estoy
asombrado que hay muchos pianistas que saben tocar piano entonces yo puedo
disfrutar de la música). Antes, vimos a Elder Solano en la audiencia mientras
esperamos que empezara el devociónal. Fue muy triste por qué no pudímos hablar,
nada más vernos y me tenía que ir después del número especial por qué tenía que
ir a mi cita en UCLA. Empezó el devociónal y estaba tan espiritual. Presidente
comenzó con el amor que tenía para nosotros. Una hora después, llegaron las
hermanas para practicar una ves más. Son increíble y estábamos muy emocionado
para presentarlo. Fue un programa preparado por la Hermana Weidman con
literatura y números especiales; estaba muy bien preparado. Después del número,
nos fuimos de una ves a UCLA. Llegamos bien, nada más con fotos del mapa y no
nos perdimos. Cuando llegamos, salió la situación que no tenía la autorización
de poder estar ahí. Pero fue una misericordia tierna que tuve la Hermana M.
ayudándome con eso. Después de ahí, pudimos entrar con los doctores y aprendí
tanto de ellos. UCLA es tan Bello y me motivó un poco para estudiar medicina;
ahí vemos que vamos hacer. Salimos muy tarde de la oficina por el tráfico y por
qué me dieron un poco de cosas gratis. Después fue la fiesta Navideña en la
capilla y la comida estaba rica y la música muy buena; pero no pudimos
bailar... Ni modo.
El
sábado fue la misma rutina, pero nos quedamos por todo el devociónal. Fue muy
especial por qué pude sentir le espíritu que me decia que sí soy un misionero
apartado. Que especial saber eso! Qué emocionante ser misioneros en estos
tiempos de Navidad.

emocionado en verlos pronto!

I
am alive after another incredible week.
It is very hard serving a mission… but its so exciting! In these Christmas times, we are
walking the streets of Los Angeles very excited to find the Lord’s elect. We are eating here and there, calling
every person possible, and trying to have 20 serious conversations a day. It’s a lot sometimes to make a list of
everything we have to do in a day.
Our loving mission president told us during the Christmas devotional
that we are not only missionaries of the church of Jesus Christ; we are
literally representing him. I can
say that I am doing this work for him, because I was specifically chosen to
have this sacred calling. The
words are so strong… I represent Jesus Christ. Even though I am not the salvation of the people, I can be a
vital part of their search towards salvation; thru the waters of baptism. Even though it’s a huge responsibility,
I always feel his love when I’m worthy of it. He is always with me.
Well the week started out incredible with the package that included the
12 days of Christmas. How special
were those gifts. I pulled so much wisdom from the messages my loved ones
sent. I can honestly say that
every person who has sent me something has had an influence in my conversion to
the gospel. I will include
pictures.
On
Tuesday we started a schedule.
Before our schedule was;
8-9: Personal study
9-10: Companion study
10-11: 12 week
Training
11-12: Language Study
12-1: Lunch
Now that I am not in
training or neither of us needs language study, we can leave at 10 to
track. It was weird the first day
but we used the time before lunch to obtain our 20 conversations so the rest of
the day we can focus the lessons.
That day we were able to have 11 conversations in one hour and 40
minutes. It was a tender
mercy! Throughout the day we were
about to have 27 conversations. So
special.
Wednesday
we had training on a new app. We
will not be using paper on the mission anymore; everything will be on the
iPad. When we make an appointment
we take out our iPad and place it on the calendar. When we make a profile on a new investigator, we place
everything on the new app called Area Book; it’s a really good app and it’s
going to help us a lot. Before the
training I had to meet with the sisters to practice Sundays musical
number. It was incredible play
with people that could sing so well.
After we went home and then were able to spend time with the R family
and talk about the blessings of the gospel. At the end of the day we were able to have 20 conversations.
Friday
was a crazy day! We had to wake up at 5:30am in order to be on time to the
devotional. We arrived and were
able to enjoy the beautiful music from a very talented pianist (I am astonished
of how many wonderful pianist there are in the mission its awesome being able
to enjoy them). Before the
devotional we were able to see Elder Solano in the audience. It was really sad because we weren’t
able to talk because I had to leave right after the musical number to my
appointment at UCLA. The
devotional was so spiritual.
President started with how much love he has for us. An hour later the sisters arrived and
we practiced on more time. They
are so incredible and we were very excited to present our number. The program was prepared by sister
Weidman it consisted of readings and musical numbers; it was prepared so
well. After the musical number, we
left for UCLA. We were able to get
there fine with only picture of the map and we didn’t get lost. When we arrived the situation that I didn’t
have authorization to be there came up.
But it was a tender mercy that I had sister M. helping me. After I was able to se the doctors and I
learned so much from them. UCLA is
beautiful and it motivated me a little further to study medicine; but we shall
see. We left really late because
of traffic and I spent a little extra time with the doctors because they gave
me some free goodies. After we
went to the Ward Christmas party and the food was so good and the music was
awesome; but we couldn’t dance… L
oh well.
Saturday
was the same as Friday except we were able to stay for the entire devotional because
I didn’t have the doctor’s appointment.
It was so special and I was able to really feel the spirit and it
testified to me that I am a called missionary. How special to be able to feel that! How exciting it is to
be a missionary in this Christmas season.
