December 28,2015- Mi primer navidad como misionero fue especial/ My 1st Christmas as a missionary was special

El lunes disfrutamos el museo Getty . Que bello es el museo! Me encanto poder disfrutar de arte que tiene siglos de antigüedad. Vimos uno que costó $53 millones de dólares; era de Van Gough! Después fuimos y disfrutamos una buena cena con la Familia V.

El martes fue un día exitoso! Pudimos extender 2 invitaciones de bautismo, 5 lecciones, 29 conversaciones,  que muchas fueron coherente. G. fue una de las señoras que le extendimos una fecha bautismal. Ella es super chevere, tiene una alta capacidad para retener información y poder reiterar la cosas de una manera muy simple. Una bendición que salió de las 20 conversaciones! De ahí, visitamos a M. (con la que fuimos al templo y tuvimos como una noche de hogar) y su familia; fue increíble poder visitarlos.

El jueves (12/24) fue increíble poder hablar con muchas personas y poder enseñar el vídeo de Navidad. En la noche, fuimos a comer con la Familia R y J vino también. J nos regalo unas chamaras (chaquetas) bellas.

El viernes (12/25) me desperté a las 6 para abrir los regalos y disfrutar de las bellas cartas que me mandaron. De ahí, nos empezamos a listarnos para el momento especial. Después de esos momentos especiales que pude compartir con ustedes, comimos con la hermana M y nos fuimos a trabajar después de cenar con ella. Elder Delgado y yo compartimos las cosas que nos encanto de la llamada y como pudimos ver nuestro testimonio causa un efecto a ustedes. Gracias por su ejemplo tan Bello.

El sábado, Presidente Weidman tuvo un sueño que teníamos que tener 20 conversación e invitar a 3 personas a ser bautizado. Nosotros tomamos la prueba para hacerlo. Esa mañana, Elder Delgado y yo tuvimos un momento especial juntos en nuestros estudio de compañerismo. Estuvimos platicando (hablando) de preguntas de la vida; como que es la diferencia entre nuestra Religión y la Cristiana. Estoy tratando de escuchar con mi corazón y dejarme guiar por el Espíritu; para ver si ahi algo que tengo que decir. Cuando me sentí inspirado a decirle algo, el escucho con verdadera intención.

Estas son algunas de las misericordias tiernas que tuve esta semana.

•           Quería enviar un montón de cartas a casa, pero no sabía si iba a ver el cartero para darle las cartas. Justo al salir de nuestro apartamento nos encontramos a una. Ella las aceptó con gusto.

•           Los otros Elderes no podian ir a la reunion de districto, so nos prestaron su carro.

•           Cuando fuimos a almorzar con la hermana C, pudimos tener 5 conversaciones con la familia que estaba ahi. Fue incredible.  Pudimos cultivar una buena relation con ellos y ensenarle que chevere son los missioneros.

•           Nos sentimos inspirados a visitar L . Cuando llegamos empesamos hablar con su papa y el abrrio su corazon a nosotros.  Nos dejo pasar y pudimos hablar y testificar de las bendiciones del bautismo. El se fue antes que le pudimos extender una invitation bautismal; pero L si la accepto.

21 Con todo, el Señor considera conveniente disciplinar a su pueblo; sí, él prueba su paciencia y su fe.22 Sin embargo, quien pone su confianza en él será enaltecido en el postrer día. Sí, y así fue con este pueblo.23 Porque he aquí, os mostraré que fueron reducidos a la servidumbre, y nadie podía librarlos sino el Señor su Dios, sí, el Dios de Abraham e Isaac y Jacob.

            Tenemos que saber que aún que pasamos por diferentes situaciones que no entendemos lo que nos está pasando en la vida, la paciencia es muy vital en nuestras vidas. Tenemos que saber que el tiempo de prueba es solamente un momento, por qué pronto vendrá el día donde vamos a descansar de nuestras pruebas.

On Monday we were able to enjoy the Getty Museum.  What a beautiful meusem it was!  I loved being able to enjoy the art that is centuries old.  We saw one that cost 53 million dollars; it was a Van Gough! After we enjoyed dinner with the V family. 

Tuesday was a successful day! We were able to extend 2 baptismal invitations, 5 lessons, and  29 conversations. G was one of the people we extended a baptismal invitaion to.  She is super nice, she has a high capacity to retain information and is able to explain it in a way that is easy to understand.  She is a blessing that came from the 20 conversations a day challenge.  From there, we went to visit M (she is the one we had a family home evening with at the temple) and her family; it was great visiting with them. 

Thursday (12/24) was awesome, because we were able to talk with lots of people and show them the Christmas video.  In the evening, we had dinner with the R family and j was there as well.  She gifted us two beautiful coats.  q

On Friday (12/25) I woke up at 6am to open presents y and to enjoy the wonderful letters I was sent.  From there we got ready for the special moment.  After those moments I was able to share with you guys, we ate with sister M and then back to work.  Elder Delgado and I shared the things we enjoyed about our call and how we were able to see that our testimony has an effect on our family.  Thank you for your example!

            On Saturday, president Weidman had a dream that we needed to have 20 daily conversations and 3 baptimal invitaions.  We took the challenge! Elder Delgado and I had a spiritual moment this week during our companion study time.  We talked about life questions; like what is the difference between our religion an Christianity. I'm really trying to listen with my heart so what I say can really be inspired. It seemed like what I said had a good impact on him; it was pretty awesome to see him just listening to me, and vise versa!

Weekly tender mercies:

•            I wanted to send a bunch of letters home, but I didn't know if I was going to see Mailman to give him the letters. Right when we left our apartment, we saw one at their truck. She accepted it gladly and we went on our way

•            The other Elders weren't able to go to District meet, so we were able to borrow their car and had to District Meeting and back

•            We got 5 conversations out of the Lunch we had with Sister Chavez and all the family she had over that day; it was pretty awesome. We were able to gain a good relation with some of them and showed them what us missionaries are all about.

•            We felt impressed several time to visit a few people, but they weren't home. At one point we felt impressed to visit Lori Valencia, a former. We arrived and we started talking with the father and he really opened up to us. We then were able to go inside and testify of the blessings of Baptism through the proper authority. Antonio, the father, ended up leaving right before we extended a baptismal invite; Lori did accept one when we committed her\

21 Nevertheless the Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea, he trieth their patience and their faith.
 22 Nevertheless—whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day. Yea, and thus it was with this people.
 23 For behold, I will show unto you that they were brought into bondage, and none could deliver them but the Lord their God, yea, even the God of Abraham and Isaac and of Jacob.

We need to know that even though we go thru different situations and we don’t understand what we are going thru, patience is vital to our lives. We need to understand that trying times are only for a moment, because soon the day will come where we will rest from our trials.
